Arkansas Tech University students are invited to an event that will take a creative approach to voter engagement on Wednesday, Nov. 2.
The mock election, hosted by the voter engagement committee of the Do Something registered student organization, will begin at 6 p.m. in the Hull Building Student Union.
ATU students Elli White and Marquis Vasquez will engage in a debate, but rather than discussing political issues of the day they will state their respective cases regarding on-campus topics of interest to their fellow Arkansas Tech students.
After the debate, there will be live voting, snacks and giveaways.
Do Something bills the event as “an opportunity to have fun while learning about how voting works so we can take away the stigma for young voters.”
