Arts and Humanities Faculty, Staff Recognized

Dr. Stanley Lombardo and Philip Parker 45 Years
Dr. Stanley Lombardo (middle, left) and Philip Parker (middle, right) were recognized by Dr. Jeffrey Cass for 45 years of service on the Arkansas Tech University faculty at the conclusion of the spring 2022 semester.

The Arkansas Tech University College of Arts and Humanities hosted its spring 2022 awards and recognition reception at Witherspoon Hall on Wednesday, April 27.

Dr. Jeffrey Cass, dean of the ATU College of Arts and Humanities, presided over the event.

The following individuals received college-wide awards:

Dean’s Choice Award
Dr. Daniel A. Belongia, professor of music and director of bands
Belinda Hilliard, administrative specialist II

Staff Award for Distinguished Service
Kimberly Hilliard, administrative specialist II

Adjunct Faculty Award
Kristina Buck, visiting lecturer of music

Mentor Award for Distinguished Student Advising
Dr. Dr. Chih-Hsin Hsu, assistant professor of English/teaching English to speakers of other languages

The ATU College of Arts and Humanities also recognized its retiring faculty members — Jan Apple, visiting lecturer of English; Karen Futterer, associate professor of music; Ken Futterer, associate professor of music; and Dr. Donna White, professor of English.

Members of the ATU College of Arts and Humanities faculty who reached service milestones during the 2021-22 academic year and those who achieved promotion and/or tenure during 2021-22 were also honored.
