Workshop on Rural Tourism

The Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center will be featuring Joanne Steele, owner of the Rural Tourism Group in California.

Steele will give business owners and community leaders ideas of how to promote their business and services using the internet.

The workshop will be held Saturday, April 16 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Van Buren Adult Continuing Education Center. Lunch will be provided.

This event is suggested for business owners who want to have a web presence and learn how internet marketing works, those who already use the internet and want to know what they can do next, and business owners who are starting a business and want to learn how to use the internet for marketing.

Additionally, the workshop would benefit business owners who are interested in learning how rural tourism can be important to the economy and those who are marketing to people who will appreciate their town just the way it is.

Pre-registration and payment is necessary to guarantee space availability. The cost is $30.

Anyone interested can contact Shannon Roberts at the ASBTDC UALR at 800-862-2040.
