Southeastern Oklahoma State has won four consecutive games behind nearly spotless pitching.

The Savage Storm’s team earned run average during its four-game winning streak is 0.56. Southeastern Oklahoma State swept Ouachita Baptist last weekend by scores of 2-0, 2-1 and 2-1.

Arkansas Tech returns home after going 2-3 during a five-game road trip. The Wonder Boys dropped 2-of-3 games at nationally seventh-ranked West Florida last weekend, defeated NAIA member Spring Hill College 8-2 on Monday and then saw a comeback bid fall just short in an 8-7 loss at third-ranked North Alabama on Tuesday.

This weekend’s series will pit Southeastern Oklahoma State’s recently dominant pitching against one of the top offensive teams in NCAA Division II. Arkansas Tech ranks among the national leaders in runs scored (12th, 213) and home runs (10th, 28).

Other GAC baseball series this weekend pit Arkansas-Monticello (11-13, 1-7) against Henderson State (13-11, 4-5) in Arkadelphia, Harding (18-8, 3-3) against Southern Arkansas (15-10, 5-4) in Magnolia and Southwestern Oklahoma State (14-7, 6-3) against Ouachita Baptist (14-15, 2-4) in Arkadelphia.

GAC member East Central University (17-12, 5-3) will step out of league play this weekend to face the Central Oklahoma Bronchos.
