He allowed four runs and struck out two. Jones induced 13 ground outs. Augustana starter Ryan Hamilton (0-1) was charged with seven runs, six earned, on five hits. The next batter was Heward, who sent a three-run home run over the fence to give the Wonder Boys an 8-0 lead. It was more than enough run support for Trent Armstrong (1-1), who went the distance on the mound for Arkansas Tech. He surrendered one run on eight hits over seven innings. Armstrong struck out nine Vikings and walked none.]]>
