Arkansas Tech University maintained sole possession of second place in the Great American Conference baseball standings by winning 2-of-3 games against Oklahoma Baptist University at Tech Field in Russellville on Saturday and Sunday.
The Wonder Boys (18-12 overall, 14-4 GAC) will play a non-conference game at Harding University in Searcy on Wednesday, March 29.

Game One: Tech 4, OBU 3
Arkansas Tech grabbed the lead in the fourth inning and held on the rest of the way for a 4-3 victory over Oklahoma Baptist on Saturday night.
The Wonder Boys struck for three runs in the bottom of the fourth — the last of which came on a straight steal of home by Seth Wheeler — to take a 4-1 lead.
Kyle Wilson (4-0) started on the mound for Tech and limited the Bison to three runs, two of which were earned, on six hits. Quentin Bowling pitched two scoreless innings and Jesse Harbin worked a 1-2-3 top of the ninth for his fourth save of the season.
Mark Vaughn had three hits for the Wonder Boys.
Game Two: Tech 3, OBU 2
Dylan McDearmon and Korey Thompson had two base hits apiece in a 3-2 Arkansas Tech win against Oklahoma Baptist in the first game of a doubleheader on Sunday.
ATU starting pitcher Trent Armstrong (4-2) struck out eight Bison hitters over eight-plus innings of work. Branden Bohuslav and Harbin combined to get the final three outs. It was Harbin’s fifth save of 2017.
Game Three: OBU 8, Tech 1
Oklahoma Baptist’s Juan Gonzalez went 3-for-4 with four runs batted in and the Bison salvaged the series finale by defeating Arkansas Tech 8-1 on Sunday.
Tyler Gibson (2-2) pitched a complete game for Oklahoma Baptist.
