Arkansas Tech closer Randy Vallejo pitched around a two-out single by SWOSU's Chris Faulkner in the top of the ninth inning to preserve a one-run Wonder Boys' victory. It was Vallejo's seventh save of the season. Tech reliever Jake Bell (4-0) pitched a scoreless eighth inning to earn the victory. Bell emerged from the bullpen to pitch a scoreless sixth inning for the Wonder Boys. Vallejo took the ball for the seventh and final inning and earned his eighth save of the season by fending off a Southwestern Oklahoma State comeback bid. The Bulldogs loaded the bases with one out before Vallejo induced a line out and a foul pop out to end the game. Arkansas Tech reliever Colt Burns (1-0) was the winning pitcher.
