Hopes for an NCAA Division II Playoffs berth for the Arkansas Tech University football team are very much alive.
The Wonder Boys (7-2) are ranked No. 9 in the NCAA Division II Super Region 3 rankings released following week nine of the 2015 regular season.
The top seven teams in the final region rankings will earn a berth in the NCAA Division II Playoffs. Arkansas Tech has reached the NCAA football postseason on three previous occasions (1999, 2004 and 2009).
In order to have a chance of making their fourth NCAA Division II Playoffs appearance, the Wonder Boys will almost certainly have to win their final two games of the season. Both of those contests will be played at Thone Stadium at Buerkle Field in Russellville, where Arkansas Tech is 4-0 in 2015.
The Wonder Boys will host Southwestern Oklahoma State University on Saturday, Nov. 7, and Harding University on Saturday, Nov. 14. Both games will start at 2 p.m.
Admission will be free for those with a valid Arkansas Tech identification card. Tickets ($10 adults / $5 students and senior citizens) will be available beginning at noon on both game days at the Thone Stadium at Buerkle Field ticket office.
