Wonder Boys Put the Clamps on SNU

A strong defensive effort propelled Arkansas Tech University to a 66-53 Great American Conference men’s basketball win over Southern Nazarene University at Tucker Coliseum in Russellville on Saturday.

The Wonder Boys (5-2 overall, 3-1 GAC) limited the Crimson Storm to 17-of-68 (25 percent) shooting from the field, including 5-of-30 (17 percent) from 3-point range.

Marquis Yates scored 23 points and Thomas Alexander added 13 points for Arkansas Tech, which won its fourth consecutive game.

The Wonder Boys will take a break from their regular season schedule on Saturday, Dec. 12, for an exhibition game against NCAA Division I member Stephen F. Austin University in Nacogdoches, Texas. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m.
