The Wonder Boys are led in scoring by senior guards Clarence Willard (13.0 points per game) and Mike Balogun (12.5 points per game), junior guard D.J. Jethroe (12.5 points per game) and senior guard Tyler Friedel (11.0 points per game). Senior guard Jay Murphy leads all Great American Conference players in assists (8.0 per game). About the Gorillas: Pittsburg State suffered losses to Augustana College (86-69) and Northern State University (75-68) in the season-opening Sanford Pentagon Basketball Showcase on Friday and Saturday. The Gorillas were 8-18 overall and 4-15 in the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association in 2013-14. It was their first sub-.500 overall record since the 2009-10 season. Sophomore guard Josiah Gustafson (23.0 points per game) leads Pitt State in scoring. He was the Gatorade Nebraska Player of the Year as a senior at Millard North High School in Omaha.]]>
