Arkansas Tech University will be the No. 3 seed in the men’s basketball 2012 NCAA Division II Tournament South Central Regional, which will be hosted next weekend at Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas.
The Wonder Boys (24-5), regular season and postseason champions of the Great American Conference, will face No. 6 seed West Texas A&M University in the NCAA Tournament first round at noon on Saturday, March 10.
Below is a schedule of games for the men’s NCAA Division II Tournament South Central Regional:
First Round (Saturday, March 10)
Game One: (6) West Texas A&M vs. (3) Arkansas Tech, Noon
Game Two: (7) Missouri Southern vs. (2) Tarleton State, 2:30 p.m.
Game Three: (8) St. Mary’s vs. (1) Midwestern State, 6 p.m.
Game Four: (5) Northwest Missouri State vs. (4) Washburn, 8:30 p.m.
Regional Semifinals (Sunday, March 11)
Game Five: Game One Winner vs. Game Two Winner, 5 p.m.
Game Six: Game Three Winner vs. Game Four Winner, 7:30 p.m.
Regional Championship (Tuesday, March 13)
Game Seven: Game Five Winner vs. Game Six Winner, 7 p.m.
Winner Advances to NCAA Elite Eight (March 21-24, Highland Heights, Ky.)
Arkansas Tech will appear in the NCAA Division II Tournament for a fourth consecutive year. The Wonder Boys have reached the second round of the NCAA Tournament in each of the last three years.
Radio station KWKK 100.9 FM will broadcast all NCAA Tournament games involving Arkansas Tech. The broadcasts will be streamed over the Internet at www.athletics.atu.edu.
