Wonder Boys Earn No. 17 National Ranking

Arkansas Tech University is ranked 17th in the National Association of Basketball Coaches NCAA Division II top 25 men’s basketball poll for Tuesday, Feb. 21.

The Wonder Boys (20-4 overall, 12-2 Great American Conference) moved up three spots in the national poll after going 3-0 over the past week. Arkansas Tech defeated Southeastern Oklahoma State on Thursday, Henderson State on Saturday and Harding on Monday to clinch a share of the inaugural Great American Conference men’s basketball championship.

The win at Harding also clinched the 23rd 20-win season in Arkansas Tech men’s basketball history. The Wonder Boys have won 20 or more games in four consecutive seasons, their longest such streak since they had four straight 20-win campaigns from 1991-92 through 1994-95.

With its ranking this week, Arkansas Tech has been included in 33 of the last 43 NABC NCAA Division II top 25 men’s basketball polls.
