On Sept. 17, 1787, the U.S. Constitution was signed. On Friday, Sept. 17, 2010, Arkansas Tech University will celebrate by participating in Constitution Day.
Some of the events Tech students may participate in include a public reading of the Constitution and amendments at Tech or local school, the creation of lesson plans and leading classes in educational exercises about the Constitution, or hand out pocket Constitutions, stickers, etc. to celebrate the Constitution and encourage people to read it.
Any student interested in volunteering should contact Dr. Michael Rogers at mrogers6@atu.edu or attend an informational meeting 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 7 in Witherspoon 242. Volunteers will receive a free t-shirt while supplies last.
