Virtual Conference for Women in Higher Ed March 3

The Arkansas Council of Women in Higher Education (ACWHE) will conduct its 2023 conference in a virtual environment from 9 a.m.-noon on Friday, March 3.

Arkansas Tech University female faculty, staff and graduate students are eligible to participate free of charge.

ATU female employees and graduate students also encouraged to submit proposals for presentations under the theme of “Leading Change in Higher Education.” Suggested topics for the 45-minute presentations include promoting change, career pathways, leadership development, hidden obstacles, challenges, global issues, accountability and empowerment. Deadline to submit proposals is Monday, Jan. 30.

Dr. Amelia Parnell will be the keynote speaker for the 2023 ACWHE conference. Parnell is vice president for research and policy at the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA). She holds a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master of Business Administration degree from Florida A&M University and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in higher education administration from Florida State University.
