Three Arkansas Tech University representatives played an integral role in the 2026 NASPA Region IV-West Conference in Boulder, Colo.
Dr. Dana Tribble, ATU associate professor of higher education and student affairs, and Dr. Rene Couture, head of the ATU School of Professional and Community Education and professor of higher education and student affairs, made two presentations at the conference.
“We were both inspired and honored when a seasoned vice president of student affairs from a major institution approached us to let us know how much she gained from our session,” said Couture.
Tribble explained that their sessions focused on innovation, meaningful connections and the future of student affairs in higher education.
“Having the opportunity to present at a regional NASPA conference allows us to share the innovative work happening at Arkansas Tech while learning from colleagues across higher education,” said Tribble. “Both presentations reflect our commitment to strengthening human connections, embracing emerging technologies responsibly and preparing future student affairs leaders for an evolving profession.”
Megan Bell, ATU director of student engagement and first-generation student success, serves as communications coordinator for the NASPA Region IV-West Leadership Cabinet and is a member of the committee that planned the conference.
“We had a great turn out of more than 240 professionals from across our region, including professionals from California,” said Bell. “We met with the goal to reimagine student affairs together, and we sure did.”
