The good news for the Golden Suns was that first-place Harding University also lost on Thursday, suffering a 91-85 defeat at Henderson State University. As a result, Arkansas Tech remains one game behind the front-running Lady Bisons in the GAC women’s basketball standings with eight regular season league games remaining. The Golden Suns are led in scoring by junior forward Fatima Adams (21.2 points per game). Tech defeated OBU 84-54 on Dec. 4. About the Lady Tigers: Ouachita Baptist has lost two of its last three games, including a 73-52 setback at the University of Arkansas-Monticello on Thursday. The Lady Tigers are second in the GAC in 3-point field goals made (7.3 per game), but they are ninth in the league in scoring offense (63.6 points per game) and 10th in the conference in field goal percentage (.378). He is third among GAC players in free throw percentage (.782) and tied for fifth in 3-point field goals made (2.8 per game). About the Tigers: Ouachita Baptist maintained a share of first place in the GAC men’s basketball standings with an 80-74 victory at the University of Arkansas-Monticello on Thursday. The Tigers have already won three more conference games this season than they did all of last year. The biggest difference has been a pair of transfers. Junior forward Tirrell Brown is third in the GAC in scoring (17.7 points per game), sixth in rebounding (7.3 per game) and first in field goal percentage (.688).
