Arkansas Tech students and members of the community will be at Tucker Coliseum this evening for the annual Up ‘Til Dawn finale event. The event features an evening of free food, games and music.
The festivities are scheduled to start and 6 p.m., and organizers say there will be several family-friendly games including laser tag, a bungee run, an adrenaline rush inflatable.
Those attending the event will also be able to have their photo made in a green screen photo booth. T
In addition to playing games, those attending will be able to enjoy free food and the opportunity to win several door prizes.
The special entertainment during the event will include the annual Tech’s Got Talent showcase, which features the artistic talents of Tech students. In addition to the talent showcase, there will also be a DJ providing music.
Up ‘Til Dawn is an annual effort at colleges and universities across the country to raise money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and Arkansas Tech has participated in the program for the past four years.
Bethany Mitchell, public relations chair, says a family who has benefited from the services St. Jude’s provides will also be attending the event. Mitchell says getting to interact with a family who has been at the hospital helps the students better understand the impact their fundraising efforts can make.
Mitchell says all students, faculty, staff and community members are invited to the event. To find out more about Up ‘Til Dawn, email Mitchell at email@example.com.]]>
