University Brass Choir to Perform in Altus

Arkansas Tech will present its University Brass Choir in concert at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Altus on Monday, March 14.

The hour-long program will begin at 7 p.m. Admission is free and open to the public.

Junior Dalton Snow of Berryville will perform "Ave Maria" by Franz Schubert.

Other pieces scheduled for performance include "Voluntary on Hyfrydol" by Charles Knox, "Proud Heritage" by William P. Latham, "Achieved is the Glorious Work" by Franz Joseph Haydn and "Black Sam" by Chris Hazell.

Dr. Gary Barrow, professor of music at Arkansas Tech, has served as director of the University Brass Choir for the past 32 years and as a member of the Tech music faculty since 1981. He will retire on May 7.
