A water leak has caused City Corp of Russellville to shut off water service to several Arkansas Tech University facilities in Russellville on Wednesday, Oct. 10.
As a result of the water leak, individuals should avoid the Nutt Residence Hall/Techionery/Baswell Techionery portion of campus until further notice.
As of 1:50 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 10, the list of facilities with no water service includes:
- Baswell Residence Hall
- Baswell Techionery
- Brown Residence Hall
- Browning Hall
- Crabaugh Hall
- Critz Residence Hall
- Dean Hall
- Hughes Residence Hall
- Hull Physical Education Building
- M Street Residence Hall
- Nutt Residence Hall
- Paine Residence Hall
- Ross Pendergraft Library and Technology Center
- Techionery
- Tucker Residence Hall
- Turner Residence Hall
- Wilson Residence Hall
- Witherspoon Hall
Chartwells, food service provider at ATU, has indicated the water outage will force a temporary closure of Baswell Techionery.
In a related development, a portion of road on the east side of Nutt Residence Hall (the curve where North El Paso Avenue and West O Street meet) has been temporarily closed.
Individuals should seek an alternate route for vehicular traffic until further notice.
