Laura Elizabeth Bean (Senior, Yellville) Laura Bean served as editor and sports editor of the Arka Tech student newspaper and president of the Society of Professional Journalists chapter at Arkansas Tech. She also worked as a student assistant in the Office of Athletic Communications. Wife of Tanner Ott, Bean graduated from Arkansas Tech in December 2014 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism. Hailey Canada (Senior, Ozark) Hailey Canada has served as vice president of the Public Relations Student Society of America, Hanna E. Norton Chapter. She has also been involved with Relay for Life, Red Cross on Campus, the Arka Tech student newspaper and Speak for Life. Canada has served as a student worker in the Norman Career Services office. Canada’s parents are Katrina and Chris Vigil. Her husband is Samuel Canada. She will graduate from Arkansas Tech in May 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism. Chloe J. Cox (Senior, North Little Rock) Chloe Cox’s campus involvement has included serving as president of Delta Zeta, chairman of the Presidential Leadership Cabinet and secretary of internal affairs for Student Government Association. She was voted Arkansas Tech Homecoming queen in 2014 and Greek woman of the year in 2013-14. Cox is the daughter of Mary Beth Cox. She will graduate from Arkansas Tech in May 2015 with a Bachelor of Science degree in business education. Katherine Cox (Senior, North Little Rock) Katherine Cox has been vice president for the Presidential Leadership Cabinet, philanthropy chair and historian for Zeta Tau Alpha, vice president for Student National Education Association and a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars at Arkansas Tech. She has also volunteered as a tutor at the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Arkansas River Valley. Cox’s parents are Christie and Paul Cox. She will graduate from Arkansas Tech in May 2015 with a Bachelor of Science degree in early childhood education. Jessica R. Dean (Senior, Alma) A member of Student Alumni Association, LEAD Academy and Student Government Association at Arkansas Tech, Jessica Dean has also served as secretary and treasurer for Delta Zeta. Her volunteer efforts have included work on behalf of the Russellville Animal Shelter. Melisa and Dana Dean are her parents. Dean will graduate from Arkansas Tech with a Bachelor of Science degree in early childhood education in May 2015. Talesiea Ealy (Senior, Menifee) Talesiea Ealy’s campus involvement has included time as vice president for the African-American Student Association and as a tour guide in the Office of Admissions at Arkansas Tech. She was also founder and vice president for Sisters of Triumph. Daughter of Phyllis and Maurice Shavers, Ealy will graduate from Arkansas Tech in May 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology. Amy Fairbanks (Senior, Magazine) Amy Fairbanks has performed the duties of president for the Public Relations Student Society of America and staff writer for the Arka Tech student newspaper during her time at Arkansas Tech. She has also been active in the Society of Professional Journalists and Student Activities Board. Fairbanks’ community involvement has included work on behalf of the Pope and Yell County Relay for Life, Big Brothers Big Sisters and the Wesley Foundation Age-to-Age program. Daughter of Renia and Stephen Fairbanks, Fairbanks will graduate from Arkansas Tech in May 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism. Katie Frazier (Senior, Danville) President of the Arkansas Tech Student Government Association for 2014-15, Katie Frazier has also served as director of recruitment counselors for the College Panhellenic Council and as an officer for Zeta Tau Alpha. She has held membership in Order of Omega, Enactus, Young Democrats, Active Minds, GAVEL and the Dean’s Leadership Class in the College of Business. Frazier’s parents are Kathy and Larry Frazier. She will graduate from Arkansas Tech with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree in management and marketing in May 2015. Kim Fryar (Senior, Dover) Kim Fryar served as president and vice president of the Student Nurses’ Association at Arkansas Tech. Her community service included working with youth cheerleading and softball teams. Wife of Eric Fryar, Fryar graduated from Arkansas Tech in December 2014 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. Jordan R. Garcia (Senior, Van Buren) Jordan Garcia has held membership in the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, Zeta Tau Alpha, Young Democrats and the Pre-Law Society at Arkansas Tech. She has been a student worker in the Department of History and Political Science and an intern in the office of U.S. Senator John Boozman. Ginger and Phillip Garcia are her parents. Garcia will graduate from Arkansas Tech in May 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science. Molly Gibson (Senior, Atkins) Homecoming queen 2013 at Arkansas Tech, Molly Gibson has been active in Zeta Tau Alpha, Student Government Association, Presidential Leadership Cabinet, National Society of Collegiate Scholars and the Dean’s Leadership Class in the College of Business. Gibson’s parents are Lisa and Howard Gibson. She will earn a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree in accounting from Arkansas Tech in May 2015. Hannah Gore (Senior, Vilonia) Hannah Gore has served as a member of Zeta Tau Alpha, Presidential Leadership Cabinet, National Society of Collegiate Scholars and Student National Education Association at Arkansas Tech. Her community service has included work on behalf of the Russellville Animal Shelter as well as the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Arkansas River Valley. Gore is the daughter of Glenda and Michael Gore. She will graduate from Arkansas Tech in May 2015 with a Bachelor of Science degree in early childhood education. Juli M. Grantham (Senior, Little Rock) Juli Grantham has held leadership positions at Arkansas Tech as secretary and treasurer for Active Minds and as director of motion pictures for the Student Activities Board. Grantham has also been active in Arkansas Tech Special Olympics College and intramural sports. Daughter of Vicki Grantham, Grantham will graduate from Arkansas Tech in May 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in communication. Sara E. Hoover (Senior, Bentonville) Sara Hoover has served as president for both the Agriculture Club and the Pre-Vet Club at Arkansas Tech. She has also held membership in Zeta Tau Alpha and Presidential Leadership Cabinet. Hoover was 2012-13 ambassador of the year in the Arkansas Tech Department of Agriculture and she received the 2013-14 Kenneth Pippin Agriculture Student of the Year award. Hoover’s parents are Debby and Andy Hoover. She will graduate from Arkansas Tech in May 2015 with a Bachelor of Science degree in agriculture business with the pre-veterinary medicine option. Kenneth Jones (Senior, Morrilton) A member of the Physics Club and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers at Arkansas Tech, Kenneth Jones has worked as a new student orientation leader, tutor, GO BOLD Adventure Camp leader, and student ambassador at the university. Jones is the son of Tonja Jones and Brigham Jones. He will graduate from Arkansas Tech in May 2015 with a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering. Emily Kaufman (Senior, Hattieville) Emily Kaufman was the 2012-13 Kenneth Pippin Agriculture Student of the Year award winner. She has served of secretary of the Arkansas Tech Agriculture Club and as a member of the Arkansas Tech Department of Agriculture Ambassadors. Kaufman’s parents are Sherry and Gary Kaufman. She will graduate from Arkansas Tech in May 2015 with a Bachelor of Science degree in agriculture business with the animal science option. Hayley Paquet (Senior, Rogers) Vice president of organization development for Alpha Sigma Tau, Hayley Paquet also holds membership in Order of Omega and Phi Alpha Theta honor society at Arkansas Tech. She has worked on campus as a resident assistant and as a freshman orientation leader. Rosie and Roy Paquet are Paquet’s parents. She will graduate from Arkansas Tech in May 2015 with a Bachelor of Science degree in secondary education. Jessica M. Pate (Senior, Springdale) Jessica Pate served as a four-year member and two-year captain for the Golden Girls dance team at Arkansas Tech. She held membership in the Health, Physical Education and Wellness Science Club, V College Ministries, Wesley Foundation, Baptist Collegiate Ministry and the Student Alumni Association. Pate was active in the Concert Chorale, intramural sports and the Miss Arkansas Tech University Scholarship Pageant. Daughter of Becky and Bob Pate, Pate graduated from Arkansas Tech in December 2014 with a Bachelor of Science degree in health and physical education. Karaline Paul (Senior, Monticello) An officer for Presidential Leadership Cabinet and the Accounting Club, Karaline Paul has also been active with Student Government Association, intramural sports, the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, Accounting Club, the Dean’s Leadership Class in the College of Business and the Pacesetters Class Gift Committee at Arkansas Tech. She has served as a mentor in the Wesley Foundation Age-to-Age program. Gina and Ron Paul are Paul’s parents. She will graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree in accounting in May 2015. Rachel Pipkin (Senior, Russellville) Rachel Pipkin has been a member of the Arkansas Tech Cheerleaders and Presidential Leadership Cabinet. She has also been active in intramural sports and has volunteered at the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Arkansas River Valley. Daughter of Jo and Jeff Pipkin, Pipkin will graduate from Arkansas Tech in May 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in communication. Karen Ricketts (Senior, Charleston) Karen Ricketts has served as vice president for the Anthropology Club and Tau Beta Sigma during her time at Arkansas Tech. She has served as a member of the Arkansas Tech marching, concert and pep band ensembles as well as a producer, director, editor, reporter, floor director and anchor at Tech TV. She has worked as a student worker in the Office of University Relations and as videographer/photographer for Arkansas Tech band camps. She has also been active in the Society of Professional Journalists. Ricketts is the daughter of Laura and James Ricketts. She will graduate from Arkansas Tech in May 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism. Stephanie A. Schmitt (Senior, Mountain Home) Stephanie Schmitt has been active in Phi Mu and the Student Nurses’ Association at Arkansas Tech. Daughter of Susan and Ludwig Schmitt, Schmitt will graduate from Arkansas Tech in May 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. Andrea Sims (Senior, Waldron) Andrea Sims’ campus involvement at Arkansas Tech has included Student Activities Board, GOLD Cabinet, Residence Hall Association, the National Residence Hall Honorary, Pre-Med Club and Alternative Spring Break. She has worked as a freshman orientation leader. Sims is the daughter of Tammy and Jamie Sims. She will graduate in May 2015 with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology. Adrian Speck (Senior, Dardanelle) President of SPECTRUM, Adrian Speck has also served as vice president for the Hospitality Society at Arkansas Tech. He has been active in the Arkansas Tech marching band, Student Government Association and the Dean’s Leadership Class in the College of Business. Speck has served as a student worker in the Division of Student Services. Son of Paquita and Stanley Speck, Speck will graduate from Arkansas Tech in December 2015 with a Bachelor of Science degree in hospitality administration. Kelly Tamburo (Senior, Greenwood) Kelly Tamburo has served as an officer for Phi Mu and as a member of Student Alumni Association. She has been involved with intramural sports. Tamburo has worked as a resident assistant, as an orientation coordinator and as a student worker in the Norman Career Services office. Tamburo’s husband is Charles Tamburo. She will graduate from Arkansas Tech in May 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in graphic design. Chrissy Vang (Senior, Havana) Vice president of the Arkansas Tech University TRIO Alumni Society, Chrissy Vang has also been active in the Anthropology Club, Student Government Association, Student Support Services and Upward Bound Alumni Society. She has served as a student worker in the Office of Testing and Disability Services. Vang is the daughter of Mee Thao. She will graduate from Arkansas Tech in May 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in rehabilitation science. Samuel Williams (Senior, Greenwood) Samuel Williams has served as president of Nutt Hall and as a resident assistant in the Office of Residence Life at Arkansas Tech. He was resident assistant of the year at Tech in 2012-13. Williams has also been active in LEAD Academy, Student Activities Board and the debate team. He has worked as a student ambassador in the Norman Career Services office. Williams is the son of Linda Presley.
