Tucker Hall Making Progress

Throughout the summer, crews at Arkansas Tech University have been renovating Tucker Hall to convert the facility back into a residence hall.

In just three weeks, 85 students will move into Tucker Hall.  The renovated facility will house 32 double rooms and 21 single rooms.

The facility was originally constructed as a residence hall in 1954, and it has most recently been used as administrative office space.

One change that will take place as part of the renovations is an interior hallway on each floor.  Officials say the interior hallway will provide improved security for the residence hall rooms as compared to the exterior room entrances that were utilized when the facility was a residence hall in years past.
