Arkansas Tech University student Lindsey Triplett is among 12 undergraduate students from around the State of Arkansas selected for a 2016-17 Farm Bureau Foundation scholarship.
Scholarship recipients are Arkansas residents, members of a Farm Bureau family and enrolled as juniors or seniors in pursuit of an agriculture-related degree at a state-accredited university.
“Arkansas Farm Bureau has always been an advocate for higher education,” said Arkansas Farm Bureau President Randy Veach of Manila in a news release from Arkansas Farm Bureau. “The future of Arkansas agriculture is dependent on the young adults who are pursuing agricultural careers. Supporting them remains a priority for this organization.”
Triplett, a agriculture business public relations emphasis major from Damascus, is a member of Presidential Leadership Cabinet and serves as an ambassador for the Department of Agriculture at Arkansas Tech.
She was named the 2015 Arkansas “Agvocate” of the Year by Arkansas Farm Bureau. Triplett has served as a state officer for Arkansas FFA, interned with Arkansas Farm Bureau Federation and worked in the newsroom at the National FFA Convention.
