Toys for Tots Drive Tuesday at Basketball Game

Arkansas Tech University will host a Toys for Tots drive in conjunction with its season-opening women’s basketball game at Tucker Coliseum in Russellville on Tuesday, Nov. 13.

Arkansas Tech University will host a Toys for Tots drive in conjunction with its season-opening women’s basketball game at Tucker Coliseum in Russellville on Tuesday, Nov. 13.

Fans that donate a new and unwrapped toy at the door will be admitted for $1 per person. All toys collected at the game will go to the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots campaign.

The defending regular season Great American Conference champion Arkansas Tech Golden Suns will host the Christian Brothers Lady Buccaneers in non-conference action at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Arkansas Tech is beginning its 36th season of intercollegiate women’s basketball. With an all-time record of 871-227, the Golden Suns rank among the top five programs in NCAA Division II history in victories and winning percentage (.793).

The U.S. Marine Corps Reserve presented Arkansas Tech with the Commander’s Award for outstanding achievement for its support of the 2011 Toys for Tots campaign.
