Megan Toland, assistant professor of journalism, served as a volunteer judge earlier this month at the 69th annual Arkansas DECA State Career Development Conference in Little Rock. Toland assisted with judging entrants from more than 450 junior high and high school students across the state. DECA seeks to prepare leaders and entrepreneurs for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality and management in high schools and colleges around the globe.
