The Arkansas Tech University Division of Student Affairs has planned two upcoming sessions to educate students about the role that Title IX plays in their education.
The meetings are scheduled in Doc Bryan Student Services Center room 133 for the following dates and times:
Title IX of the Education Amendments Act of 1972 is a federal law that states “no person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance.”
The informational sessions at ATU will allow students to learn about:
- their rights under Title IX
- where and how to report cases of sexual misconduct
- opportunities to get involved in sexual assault and relationship violence prevention on campus
