Sherry Tinerella, assistant librarian at Arkansas Tech University, will offer a presentation entitled “Scholarly Communication and the Role of the Academic Library” in Dr. Robert Charles Brown and Jill Lestage Brown Hall room 134 on Friday, Sept. 21.
It will be the second ATU Interdisciplinary Research Series lecture of the fall 2018 semester. Tinerella will begin her remarks at 3:30 p.m. A reception will follow, and all members of the university community are invited to attend.
Tinerella will discuss the library’s role in academic publishing, preservation and the discovery of scholarly work, particularly through the vehicle of institutional repositories.
A graduate of Northeastern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Arts degree, Tinerella obtained her Master of Library and Information Science degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
The ATU Interdisciplinary Research Center Board is accepting research talk proposals for the spring 2019 semester. Projects can be individual or collaborative, and interdisciplinary research or scholarship is encouraged. Research projects may be qualitative, quantitative or both.
