Thousands of high school seniors will visit the Arkansas Tech campus today for the annual Time-out for Tech senior preview day.
During academic breakout sessions, students will be able to visit with Tech professors and learn more about the 100 programs of study available for students.
Students will also be able to learn more about campus organizations by attending an organization fair during the event.
Optional sessions planned during Time-Out for Tech focus on Financial Aid, Residential Life and Greek Life. There will also be tours available for those wishing to learn more about the campus.
Breakfast snacks will be provided for all those in attendance. Each senior attending Time-Out for Tech will receive a free t-shirt.
Three tuition scholarships will be awarded to incoming freshmen. Students will register to win the scholarships at check-in and must be present to win.
Here is a complete schedule of events:
- 8:30-9:30 a.m. – Check in and registration at Tucker Coliseum, in conjunction with the student organization fair
- 9:30-10:30 a.m. – Opening session with entertainment and announcement of scholarship winners
- 10:30-11:50 a.m. – Academic breakout sessions for students’ intended field of study
- Noon-1 p.m. – Optional sessions (Financial Aid, Residential Life, Greek Life) and campus tours
