More than 3,000 visitors packed Tucker Coliseum on the Arkansas Tech campus today for the annual Time-Out for Tech event.
Dr. Robert C. Brown, president of Arkansas Tech, greeted those in attendance. Brown encouraged participants to find out more about the campus and not make light of the opportunities afforded to those earning a college education.
He added, "During the course of one's lifetime, a person with a college degree earns on average one million dollars in extra income. That is a large return on a four year investment."
Following Brown's introduction, students had the opportunity to learn more about the more than 100 programs of study at Arkansas Tech by visiting with Arkansas Tech professors.
Other events planned for students included an organizational fair, optional sessions on housing and financial aid and campus tours.
