Arkansas Tech University fans will have an opportunity to dine on free bacon while cheering for the Golden Suns and the Wonder Boys on Thursday, Feb. 25, at Tucker Coliseum in Russellville.
The annual bacon night promotion will provide 150 pounds of free bacon for fans beginning at 5:30 p.m. The first 200 students in attendance will also receive a free T-shirt as part of the promotion.
Game times for Arkansas Tech and Southeastern Oklahoma State University are 5:30 p.m. (women) and 7:30 p.m. (men) on Thursday. Admission will be free for those with a valid Arkansas Tech identification card.
Tickets ($5 adults / $3 students and senior citizens) will be available at the door.
The nationally 15th-ranked Golden Suns (21-3 overall, 19-1 Great American Conference) have clinched the 2015-16 GAC women’s basketball regular season championship outright. A victory on Thursday would strengthen their position for the upcoming NCAA Division II Tournament.
The Wonder Boys (15-11, 10-10), winners of six of their last nine games, can clinch a berth in the 2016 GAC Tournament with a win on Thursday night.
This weekend will mark the conclusion of the 2015-16 basketball regular season. Arkansas Tech will play its final home doubleheader of 2015-16 on Saturday, Feb. 27, when it hosts East Central University at 1 p.m. (women) and 3 p.m. (men).
