Three members of the 2017 Arkansas Tech University football team have earned a place on the Don Hansen Division II All-America teams.
Junior halfback Chris Eastburn of Pearcy was named All-America second team, while senior punter Clayton Watson of Green Forest and junior linebacker KJ Reid of Texarkana were selected honorable mention All-America.
It is the second consecutive Don Hansen All-America commendation for Eastburn and Watson. With his first such honor, Reid becomes the 50th All-America football player in Arkansas Tech history.
Eastburn (photographed) was a key part of the blocking scheme in a Wonder Boys offense that led the Great American Conference in scoring (39.8 points per game) and averaged 434.4 yards per game.
Watson averaged 42.9 yards per punt in 2017, second-best in the GAC.
Reid made 109 tackles last season, second-most in the GAC. His five recovered fumbles led the conference.
The Wonder Boys were 8-4 overall and 8-3 in the Great American Conference in 2017 under head coach Raymond Monica. Tech finished tied for second in the GAC standings and earned a bid to the Agent Barry Live United Bowl.
It was the third consecutive winning season for the Wonder Boys, their longest such streak since 2004-06.
