Arkansas Tech’s residence halls collected $2,894.34 for March of Dimes and the top-collecting halls were announced at the Battle of the Halls closing ceremony yesterday.
Turner Hall took home to grand trophy yesterday for winning Battle of the Halls 2012, but they also won bragging rights for collecting the most money for March of Dimes, with a total of $962.21.
The winners of this competition were selected based on the percentage of money collected compared to the number of residents in the building, instead of looking at numbers alone.
Wilson Hall received second place with a collection of $421.81. Roush Hall received third place with a collection of $226.86. Caraway Hall received fourth place with a collection of $152.75.
According to the March of Dimes website, the organization helps mothers have full-term pregnancies and researches the problems threatening infant health.
