Arkansas Tech University senior Jocelyn Dong of Harrison will present a solo fine art exhibition entitled “Thoughts Within” March 3-14 at ATU’s Norman Hall Art Gallery.
The show will be open weekdays from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. at Norman Hall, 203 West Q Street on the ATU campus in Russellville.
An opening reception is planned for 4-5:30 p.m. Monday, March 3.
Admission to the exhibition and the reception will be free and open to the public.
“I am an illustrator who primarily works in watercolor,” wrote Dong in her artist’s statement when she finished top two in the 18th annual Arkansas Tech University Juried Student Competitive Exhibition in fall 2024. “I am inspired by Japanese animations, digital illustrations, my daily life and the people I interact with. My work aims to show viewers the wonder and joy you can find in everyday life and the mundane.”
Subsequent senior art shows during the spring 2025 semester at Norman Hall Art Gallery will feature the work of ATU students specializing in game and interactive media design (March 31-April 11) and graphic design (April 21-May 2).
