The Ultimate Game of Dodgeball: Earth vs. Asteroids

Dr. Jeff Robertson

Dr. Jeff Robertson will offer a program entitled “From Asteroids to Exoplanets: Will We Survive Here to be Able to Explore There?” on Friday, Oct. 18, as part of the continuing Arkansas Tech University Interdisciplinary Research Series for fall 2019.

Robertson will speak beginning at 3:30 p.m. in Rothwell Hall room 138. All members of the university community are invited to attend.

The presentation will focus on follow-up observations of potentially hazardous asteroids and exoplanet transmits around their parent stars recently recorded by the ATU Astronomical Observatory.

Robertson is professor of astrophysics, director of the astronomical observatory, dean of the College of Natural and Health Sciences and interim dean of the Graduate College at ATU.

He has served on the Arkansas Tech faculty since 1997. Robertson holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Kansas, a Master of Science degree from San Diego State University and a Doctor of Philosophy degree from Indiana University.
