The Olympiad: Chariot Race and Games Announced

The Greek Life Councils invite student organizations to participate in the first ever Olympiad chariot races during WonderWeek 2012.

The Olympiad events are scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 16, at 3 p.m. on the track at Buerkle Field.

Teams should consist of two to four members, be creative and possess good sportsmanship. The chariot must be man-powered and carry at least one team member.

Organizations are required to provide their own chariots. Some ideas given for homemade chariots include a wheel barrow, moving dolly, chair with wheels or a wagon.

Walmart gift cards will be awarded to the winners of the race. First place will receive $100, second place with receive $50 and third place will receive $20.

Additionally, organizations will be able to play other games such as the balloon stomp, three-legged race, ping pong ball race and an egg toss.

The deadline to register for the games is Wednesday, Feb. 15 at noon. Forms should be submitted to the Office of Student Services in Doc Bryan Suite 233.
