Wins over Southeastern Oklahoma State University and Oklahoma Baptist University during the final week of the regular season earned Arkansas Tech University’s tennis team a top-four seed in the 2019 Great American Conference Tournament.
The Golden Suns (11-6 overall, 4-2 GAC) defeated Southeastern Oklahoma State 6-1 on Friday, April 12, and Oklahoma Baptist 4-3 on Wednesday, April 17.
Arkansas Tech closed out the regular season on Friday, April 19, by dropping a 7-0 decision to Harding University.
Head coach Abby Davis and the fourth-seeded Golden Suns will face No. 5 seed Southeastern Oklahoma State at 2 p.m. on Thursday, April 25, in the first round of the GAC Tournament. The event will be played at Memorial Park in Bentonville.
The GAC Tournament will continue with the semifinals on Friday, April 26, and the championship match on Saturday, April 27.
