The Arkansas Tech Office of University Relations has a question for students: “What’s Your Tech Story?”
Students are invited to drop by Baswell Techionery from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 7. University Relations personnel will videotape interviews with Arkansas Tech students as a way of capturing the pulse of the campus.
Interviews will be done on a first-come, first-served basis. No advance appointments are necessary.
One lucky Arkansas Tech student who tells his or her Tech story will walk away with an XBox 360 Kinect. Three additional students will win Wonder Bucks, which can be used at Baswell Techionery, Chambers Cafeteria or the Tech Bookstore.
Students can register for the door prizes before their interview at Baswell Techionery from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 7. Winners will be selected at random from among all students who sign up to be interviewed.
Students will be asked questions such as:
*Why did you choose Arkansas Tech?
*What is your favorite part of being a Tech student?
*How has your Tech experience compared to your expectations?
*What extracurricular activities are you involved in on campus?
*What obstacles must you overcome to earn your degree?
*What are your goals for after college?
Selected clips from the interviews will be placed on the Arkansas Tech YouTube channel. The interviews will also be used to identify students who are interested in appearing in photographs for university publications and online communications.
