Arkansas Tech sluggers Tiphani Moon and Hayley Hudson won the final two Gulf South Conference West Division softball player of the week awards for the 2011 season.
Moon was named GSC West player of the week on April 26 after she went 7-for-11 with three home runs and seven runs batted in during a four-game series at Delta State. The Golden Suns went 3-1 during their series against the Lady Statesmen.
Hudson earned the GSC West player of the week award on May 3. She was 8-for-12 with four home runs and nine RBIs during a four-game sweep of Christian Brothers.
Moon is a senior right fielder from Euless, Texas, while Hudson is a freshman first baseman from Enid, Okla.
