Twenty-two members of the Arkansas Tech University Alumni and Friends Travel Group took a 10-day tour of Europe during the month of June. The Tech tourists visited locales such as Budapest, Vienna and Prague. Highlights included stops at Mathias Church in Budapest, the Oberammergau Passion Play in Germany, Hradcany Castle in Prague and a cruise down the Danube River. Arkansas Tech alumni and friends on the tour were Mary Jean Crossman, Elizabeth Daniel, Evelyn Denton, Gary Denton, Rita Duren, Alice Fletcher, Lawrence Fletcher, Rebecca Hamilton, Alfred Hartman, Shirley Hartman, Joy Miller, Mike Miller, Johnny Morgan, Julie Morgan, Dana Moseley, David Moseley, Marie Rumage, Rickey Simmons, Linda Simmons, I.B. Stewart, Barbara Stewart and Rebecca Wilson. The Arkansas Tech Alumni and Friends Travel Group has a busy next 15 months planned. The Tech tourists will visit Sicily in November 2010, New England in December 2010, London and Paris in April 2011, a tour of U.S. northern national parks in July 2011 and Spain in September 2011. In addition, the Tech Alumni and Friends Travel Group has planned a special one-day excursion to hear Christmas carols performed inside Blanchard Springs Caverns near Mountain View on Dec. 11, 2010.
