Arkansas Tech has an opportunity to send its three volleyball seniors out in grand fashion on Thursday night.
The Golden Suns (29-4 overall, 10-1 Gulf South Conference) can clinch the GSC West Division title outright and secure a 30-win season when they host the Henderson State Lady Reddies (14-12, 5-6) in Tech's final home volleyball match of the season.
First serve is scheduled for 7 p.m. Thursday at Tucker Coliseum in Russellville. No admission will be charged.
Seniors (photographed, from left to right) Ashlynn Hamrick, Kera Dukic and Sarah Von Lienen will be honored on Thursday night. They have been a part of 106 wins and two GSC West Division championship teams during their careers at Tech.
Arkansas Tech has already clinched a share of the 2010 GSC West title and a No. 1 seed in the GSC Tournament.
In order for the Golden Suns to win the GSC West outright, either they must defeat Henderson State or Harding (15-10, 9-2) must lose at home to Ouachita Baptist (14-11, 2-9) on Thursday.
A victory over the Lady Reddies would also allow the 2010 Arkansas Tech volleyball team to post the sixth 30-win season in the history of the institution's volleyball program.
The Golden Suns have previously won 30 or more matches in 1984, 1985, 1999, 2000 and 2008.
