Students in one Arkansas Tech University class will work to make sure area youngsters have a fun Halloween.  Students enrolled in the Recreation Programming class at Arkansas Tech will help host Kidsfest Wednesday evening at the Hughes Center.

Throughout the event, area youngsters will have the opportunity to don costumes and take part in a variety of festivities including trick-or-treating, games and walking down Hero Alley.

Organizers say the project is designed to offer community members a fun, safe environment to take part in Halloween festivities.

The event is scheduled from 5-8 p.m. at the Hughes Community Center in Russellville.  It is co-sponsored by the Russellville Recreation and Parks Department and the Recreation and Programming class at Arkansas Tech.
