Tech Students Raise $8,000 for Hospital

Arkansas Tech students raised more than $8,000 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital this year as part of Up ‘Til Dawn.

The Arkansas Tech winners and the total amount Tech students raised were announced Friday evening during the Up ‘Til Dawn Finale.

Up ‘Til Dawn is an annual effort at colleges and universities across the country to raise money and awareness for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and this year, Arkansas Tech students collected $8,187 that will be donated to the hospital to assist in cancer research.

Over the course of the year, Team Delta Zeta collected the most love points, and the team will be rewarded with a trip to visit the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis.

Molly Sneed and her team were recognized for collecting the most money during the year.  Sneed’s team raised $605 for the hospital, while Emily Miles was honored for raising the most amount of money as an individual.  She raised $515 for the hospital.

Organizers say they appreciate all the groups who participated throughout the year to help raise funds and awareness for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
