Several Arkansas Tech University students helped make a difference in the River Valley over the holidays. Students enrolled in Dr. Jason Ulsperger's sociology classes and members of the Tech chapter of Alpha Kappa Delta partnered together to collect more than 700 hygiene items for the Russ Bus. The Russ Bus is a nonprofit organization designed to assist the homeless in the River Valley area. Ulsperger said he is delighted so any students took part in the project. "I am fortunate the student body and fellow faculty members on campus are so aware of the importance of helping people in need," said Ulsperger. "I cannot thank everyone enough for their efforts in making this commodity drive a huge success.” Learn more about the Department of Behavioral Sciences at Arkansas Tech.
