Tech Students Attend Leadership Conference

Several Arkansas Tech University students are in Texas this weekend to attend a conference.

Representatives from the Department of Diversity and Inclusion, the Office of Career Services, the African American Student Association and the United Voices of Praise student group are attending the Southwestern Black Student Leadership Conference.

According to its website, the conference was formed to allow African-American students across the country to “assemble to engage in meaningful personal and professional development while addressing the problems and concerns that affected the Black community.”

Hosted on the campus of Texas A&M, the conference is now in its 28th year.
