Tech Students Attend Conference in Atlanta

Two Arkansas Tech University students are returning to the River Valley after spending several days in Atlanta for the Public Relations Society of America national conference in Atlanta.

Tiffini Jarvis (left) and Kristin Jacobelli (right) are both officers in the Arkansas Tech chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) and had the opportunity to take part in the conference.

During the conference, the students were able to attend several breakout sessions and network with industry professionals.

They also had the opportunity to hear from several speakers including:

  • ​​Scott Williamson, Vice President and Director of Public Affairs and Communications for Coca-Cola
  • Jim Cantore, Host and Meteorologist from The Weather Channel
  • Sheryl Connelly, Head, Global Consumer Trends and Futuring for Ford Motor Company
  • Daniel Lubetzky, Founder and CEO of KIND

The PRSSA organization is housed in the Department of Communication and Journalism at Arkansas Tech.
