The pep rally marked the official start of a week of festivities leading up to Homecoming at Arkansas Tech.
During Monday’s pep rally, student organizations had the opportunity to compete in a spirit competition. The Tech Sweethearts were crowned the spirit champs and received an Arkansas Tech spirit pillar and bragging rights.
The 2012 Homecoming Court was also announced during Monday’s pep rally. Earlier this semester registered student organizations had the opportunity to nominate an individual to represent them on the court, and the individuals selected for the court will be announced during the pep rally.
Those individuals selected for the court include:
- Maegan Ballard – Zeta Tau Alpha
- Lindsey Falkenstein – Phi Mu
- Samantha McKinzie – Sigma Alpha Iota
- Amanda Sparks – Students in Free Enterprise
- Alyssa Verkamp – Delta Zeta
The theme for this year’s Homecoming is “Beat the Savage Storm.”
