This past weekend the College Panhellenic Council at Arkansas Tech held formal recruitment for the three sororities, Delta Zeta, Phi Mu, and Zeta Tau Alpha.
Formal recruitment offered interested individuals the opportunity to learn more about the various sororities and to meet individuals in each of the sororities.
“Formal recruitment really helped me to find the sorority I belong in, and to make friends before I even got there,” said freshman Lakyn Phillips, new member of Delta Zeta.
In all, 102 women at Arkansas Tech completed the process and received bids to join one of the sororities at Arkansas Tech.
Coordinator of Greek Life, Jamie Beck said she was very pleased with the outcome and how well everyone did.
“I’m pleased with the interest and attendance at the pre-recruitment events and the relationships that the new members built with their recruitment counselors,” said Beck.
