Through the collaborative efforts of Tech professors Dr. David J. Eshelman and Dr. Timothy Smith, a new musical, “A Taste of Buffalo” will debut Thursday, September 30.
“Using song and comedy, ‘A Taste of Buffalo’ chronicles the lives of cities, touching on issues such as urban sprawl, pollution, and cycles of boom-and-bust,” says Eshelman.
The play is presented as part of the River Valley Play Series, which showcases new theatrical work by Arkansas dramatists.
The play will be presented publicly as a script-in-hand reading with music on Sept. 30 and Oct. 1. Rehearsals will take place throughout September.
Auditions for six female roles will be held Monday, Aug. 30, and Tuesday, Aug. 31, at 8 p.m. in Room 212 of the Witherspoon Building. Those auditioning will learn and perform songs from the show.
