Tech Professor's Work Featured in Exhibit

David Mudrinich, associate professor of art at Arkansas Tech, is one of 39 artists that will be featured in an exhibit organized by the Arkansas Arts Council.

The exhibit showcases the work of Arkansas artists, and Mudrinich's drawing, Valley at 11 p.m., was selected from hundreds of entries to be featured in the annual “Small Works on Paper” exhibit.

"More than 300 entries were submitted for this year’s 'Small Works on Paper' exhibition," said Joy Pennington, director of the Arkansas Arts Council. “We were very pleased this year with the variety of work.  From contemporary to traditional, there is something that will appeal to everyone.”

The touring show opens Saturday at the Searcy Art Gallery, and the exhibit will travel to 10 galleries in the state over the course of the year.

River Valley residents will be able to see the exhibit in June when it is on display at the Arkansas River Valley Arts Center.
