Tech Organizations Host E-Waste Recycling Event

The River Valley community will be able to safely recycle electronic equipment thanks to an event hosted by two Arkansas Tech student organizations. Enactus and the Computer Club will host an e-waste recycling drive on Thursday from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. at the Pope County Fairgrounds. The goal of the drive is to assist community members in the safe disposal of old and unused electronic items. The following items will be collected for safe disposal:
  • Computers
  • Printers, Scanners
  • Digital Cameras
  • Stereos, A/V Equipment
  • Cell Phones, Telephones, Fax Machines
  • VCRs, DVD, CD Players
  • TVs/Monitors – $10 charge per item
Over the past few years of hosting the event, River Valley residents have safely disposed of more than five tons of electronic waste.
