Seven members of the Arkansas Tech University nursing faculty were recognized recently in a publication by the Arkansas State Board of Nursing for having obtained Certified Nurse Educator status.
The faculty members were recognized in ASBN Update, which is a monthly publication by the Arkansas State Board of Nursing.
Nurse educators may obtain the status after meeting strict eligibility criteria and successfully completing a rigorous certification examination developed and administered by the National League of Nursing.
Currently, on 28 nursing personnel in the state have been awarded the status.
The seven members of the Arkansas Tech faculty who were recognized include:

- Melissa Darnell
- Julia Gist
- Lisa Harless
- Shelly Randall
- Linda Self
